Obelisk announced the creation of the next generation of mining systems: Obelisk GRN1, focused on PoW algorithm Cuckatoo31. GRN1 is not just a microchip, but improved hash boards, control boards, a mechanical design, and even a power supply.

The Grin team stated that they intend to encourage the development of ASIC for the Cuckatoo31 + algorithms, and provided the Obelisk with code that defines the specification for the Cuckatoo31 + algorithms.
