Description:

Bitdeer (Nasdaq: BTDR), a Bitcoin mining and hardware company, has unveiled its latest product: the Sealminer A2.

The miner comes in two flavors: air-cooled and water-cooled.

Bitdeer claims that the machine achieves an impressive 446 terahashes per second (TH/s) with a power efficiency of 16.5 joules per terahash (J/T).

With the Sealminer A2, Bitdeer is looking to compete with industry giants like Bitmain, Microbt, Canaan, and Auradine. Bitdeer made a significant move earlier this year by partnering with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) to manufacture the chips, and also brought in Desiweminer to develop the ASIC for the machines. The device is equipped with a SEAL02 chip developed using a 4-nanometer process technology, which ensures high performance and energy efficiency.

SEALMINER A2 features an improved cooling system. The air-cooled model stably operates at temperatures from -20°C to 50°C, and the hydrocooled version from 20°C to 55°C. This expands the possibilities of operating the device in various climatic conditions.

Compact dimensions and lightweight design (15.5 kg for the air-cooled version and 20.5 kg for the hydrocooled model) simplify the transportation and installation of the miner. Universal connectors and fasteners facilitate easy maintenance and integration into existing mining farms.

The release of SEALMINER A2 intensifies competition in the ASIC miner market, which was previously dominated by companies such as Bitmain and MicroBT. The higher performance and energy efficiency of the new device from Bitdeer may attract the attention of miners looking to optimize their operations and reduce operating costs.
